I was interested to know if I can add lightbox javascript code to the gallery.
I'm a bit new to coding so I'm trying to figure it out. Any hints would be sooo helpful.

1) I also tried to delete the code to zoom the image and it still zooms.

2) Where does the src folder need to reside server side? Does "gallery.as" need to be copied to "componet/src" folder once edited?

you can't add javascript code to as3 code. I'm sorry.

To disable zoom:

you did the right move by editing gallery.as, but you need to recompile main_full.fla with flash to make it works

Anyway to add a lightbox style script or plug-in or module to the gallery?
Having a background image display while viewing the gallery is a slight issue, but still one that is an issue.
thoughts?

create a full black background for the gallery and set it by control panel

That appears to be the only "resolution" I'd like to have some sort of image but I was looking into a different way to code lightbox without using js.
I read it's possible with as4, not sure of as5.

as4 as5 do not exist.
I think you confuse them with cs4 and cs5

btw the only thing you can do is simulate the black semitransparent lightbox background
